Avengers: Infinity War earns Rs 29 crore in advanced bookings alone

Avengers: Infinity War might easily be the most anticipated Hollywood movie of 2018. It’s a culmination of 18 movies, which Marvel fans have been waiting for since a decade. So naturally, the box-office collections on the opening day was expected to be sky high. However, new data showed that the film earned Rs 29 crore even before its release through advanced bookings.

Reportedly, 1 million tickets were sold online during the pre-bookings and have already accounted for Rs 29 crores. It’s expected to easily touch Rs 30 crore, a record-breaking number no Hollywood films has managed to attain. At its current rate, trade analyst, Ramesh Bala, predicted that the film could easily manage to do a business of R 100 crore in the opening weekend itself.

The record of the highest opening of 2018 in India currently rests with Baaghi 2, which managed to earn Rs 25.1 crores on the first day. If Avengers: Infinity War manages to earn 30 crores on day 1, then it won’t just be the highest Hollywood grosser but the highest Indian opener this year. We’re sure that this movie is going to break all records. We just have to wait and see the new ones it makes.
